I’m passionate about helping you meet your infant feeding goals with confidence

Holistic, Concierge-Level Lactation Expert in Fort Worth

As your lactation consultant, I can support you with:

Welcome β€” I’m so glad you’re here.

Hi there. I’m Heather & I help educate, empower, and support expectant and new parents to overcome challenges and meet their infant feeding goals with confidence from birth to beyond the breast.

I’m an IBCLC, member of both the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) and U.S. Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA) with a background in Early Childhood Education.

As a mom of 7 - I’ve been on the floor at 2am wondering if I was doing it β€œright”, and I know what it takes to get back up to keep moving toward those personal feeding goals. I can help you write a new breastfeeding story β€” one you love.

I’ve worked with families of all walks across North Texas and the U.S. helping parents and babies build strong, confident connections through feeding with expert, judgment-free support since 2006 through community and clinical level lactation care.

My Approach
At Beyond the Breast, I believe that every family’s journey is unique & deserves personalized, compassionate, holistic care - looking beyond immediate concerns to the root causes behind feeding difficulties. I bring additional training in tethered oral tissues, gut-brain health, aromatherapy, herbal support, and infant massage to help create truly customized care plans.

Focusing on education, empowerment, and support & giving you the tools and confidence to meet your goals and nurture your bond with your baby, from birth and beyond.

Why I Do This Work
Feeding your baby shouldn’t be overwhelming. You deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported β€” every step of the way.
My path into this work started as a volunteer with La Leche League. I spent countless hours alongside breastfeeding mothers, and what has stayed with me through the years is what happened when they saw that support was there and ongoing. Those families reached their breastfeeding goals. Not because they worked harder. Because they weren’t doing it alone.

Around that same time, I became fascinated with infant massage. I watched babies visibly settle under their mother's hands β€” the fussing easing, the eye contact deepening, that unmistakable moment where a baby and parent find each other. It wasn't just soothing. It was connection, happening in real time. That's what led me to become a Certified Educator of Infant Massage, and it's shaped how I think about feeding support ever since: it's never just about the mechanics. It's about the relationship underneath it.

Feeding your baby shouldn't be overwhelming. You deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported β€” every step of the way.

Whether you're facing unexpected challenges, seeking reassurance, or simply wanting to prepare for a strong start, I'm here to walk alongside you with respect, knowledge, and heartfelt support.

Over the last twenty years, I’ve supported thousands of families across Fort Worth Parker County and beyond through home, office and virtual visits.

Thank you for trusting me to be part of your story. I’m honored to support you.

How I Can Support You on Your Feeding Journey.

Feeding Consults

During our time together, we will review health history and baby's, do a quick weight check, an assessment of baby and a feeding or pumping session.

A follow up visit may be scheduled to assist in meeting your goals, review previous concerns and address current questions.

Prenatal

Prenatal sessions are the perfect time to learn about milk production, infant feeding and sleep patterns, latch techniques and positioning. We’ll also chat about ways to help maximize milk supply, signs of potential concerns and tips for thriving in the first few weeks.

Pumping

During a fitting consult, we’ll discuss the differences between wearable and traditional pumps, flange types, fit, pumping schedules and milk storage.

Sessions can be held virtually or in person.

Milestones

The first year is filled with growth for baby and parents! Milestone consults are a great way to touch base and check in to see how your baby is growing, make adjustments for changes in your lives or preparations for upcoming events.

Professional Certifications & Associations

I am passionate about being up to date on research and evidence to base my practice. I have breastfed before, but what worked for me might not work for other dyads or every family. Every breastfeeding (or pumping) dyad is completely different and I want to be prepared for any visit that comes to me. I am active members to all of these, a certified IBCLC and CPR certified. I have also completed the Masterclass on Oral Habilitation of the Breastfeeding Dyad.
