“Heather has been such a blessing in my motherhood journey. Even as a second-time mom, she has taught me things I never knew and advocated for me in ways I didn’t even realize I needed. Struggling with low supply left me feeling frustrated and unsure, but Heather guided me with compassion and helped me find real solutions that increased my supply. "I'd highly recommend having Heather as a tool in your tool belt as a momma of a new babe. She has been incredibly resourceful, helpful, and encouraging as I've had to navigate persistent thrush, supply trouble (over and now under), and lip and tongue tie revisions. Heather does an incredible job at seeing the whole picture and not just the symptoms you present - her approach is wholistic and I immensely appreciate that. Since my first consultation with Heather 5 months ago (when my second was born), she's continued to support me by responding to texts and emails. I'm so thankful!

"My baby girl was 4.5 months old when I finally sought Heather’s expertise. We had previously only had beief interactions with the LC’s in the hospital where my baby was born and one online consultation. My daughter had ongoing difficulties with achieving a deep latch and severe reflux. Heather evaluated my daughter and determined that she had a lip and tongue tie and we needed a frenectomy. Heather was patient, kind, well-rounded and knowledgeable! She even followed up with us following the frenectomy to see how we were! I highly recommend Heather!!!"

I cannot tell you how amazing it felt as a brand new Momma to have some one help me when I was at my wits end. "Heather is amazing! I left her a voicemail early in the morning after a crazy sleepless night with a newborn who suddenly decided not to latch at all but scream instead. Heather was at my house within a couple of hours. I didn’t even realize how much i needed her gentle and confident presence. She stayed with me through the entire feeding routine from waking up, changing a diaper, latching, feeding, burping, switching sides. She is a wealth of knowledge and compassion. My baby latched on both sides and is now peacefully sleeping skin to skin with me. She left a lot of good information and references for the next few weeks. I am forever grateful! She didn’t just get my baby to latch and nurse, she did so much more. I feel empowered, understood, supported. Thank you!"

"Wow! Wow! Wow! We took our little to Heather to have what I thought was a lip-tie examined. Not only did she confirm my concerns, she also found he suffered from a tongue-tie and a buccal-tie. She is so extremely knowledgeable! I left with complete comfort in knowing the next steps to address my son's issues. I highly recommend Heather!"

"I highly recommend Heather Martin for lactation services. Heather helped me as a first-time mom by doing a home consult a few days after my son was born. He was having difficulty latching on one side, and I was having difficulty with clogged ducts. Since then, Heather has also helped assess tongue and lip ties, made recommendations for a pumping schedule, provided support as I returned to work, made recommendations for other professional care (such a chiropractic care) when needed, and correctly identified a dairy intolerance in my son. My son is now almost 7 months old, and our breast-feeding journey has been very successful—Heather has been a huge part in helping me get there! She continues to be a valuable resource when new problems or questions arise. I am thankful for her knowledge and support and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a lactation consultant."

"Heather has been a real life saver for me and my babies! When my third child was born with class 4 lip and tongue ties, Heather came to my house and helped us figure out how to decrease my discomfort during nursing with a nipple shield. After the revisions, she came back again to help us work on re-learning how to latch. I've since moved out of state and recently birthed my 4th child who was also born with class 4 lip and tongue ties. Heather was once again just a message away to saving us! She was quick to respond and provide suggestions of how to get my son to latch post revision. After 6 hours of my son refusing to latch and crying because he was so hungry, just one quick suggestion by Heather and my son latched for the first time post procedure! He continues to nurse well and my mama heart is at ease. I could not be more thankful to know Heather and have her by my side through this breastfeeding journey!"

"I highly recommend Heather for any new mom who has any questions or difficulties with breastfeeding! I called her after my son had a tongue and lip tie revision, and she came out to my house for a weighted transfer test and assessment. She gave me many tips on how to tell my son was transferring enough milk, which is a concern for many moms when it comes to breastfeeding. After taking the time to listen to my concerns and difficulties (which there were many!), Heather customized a care plan complete with referrals and product recommendations that have ended up being extremely helpful! I also have IGT, which causes primary low milk supply, and she has helped me tremendously with this as well. With her help and recommendations, I have been able to stay off formula and exclusively provide my baby breast milk. What really sets Heather apart, though, is her willingness to truly go 'beyond the breast'. I frequently text Heather with questions and concerns, and she's always quick to respond with helpful info and encouragement. She truly cares about the mother/baby dyad and forming a personal relationship with her clients. I cannot speak highly enough about Heather, and words cannot do justice for how grateful I am to have found her to help me in this journey as a first time mom!"
