At Beyond the Breast, my goal is to help educate, empower and support expectant and new parents to overcome challenges and meet their infant feeding goals with confidence from birth to beyond the breast.
I’m Heather Martin, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Educator of Infant Massage. I’m so glad you found me! Whether you are a new parent or adding another little one to your crew, feeding challenges can pop up and throw you for a loop.

Heather's beyond exceptional. I have done home visits, office appointments, and virtual sessions. She is always extremely prepared and knowledgeable about whatever your feeding challenge may be. I saw her initially for general help with breastfeeding and then again around 6 months when my baby developed a bottle aversion. I plan to see her for all of my future lactation needs! Heather is so incredibly down to earth & genuine! I messaged her out of desperation that my newborn wasn't nursing/latching and she was so quick to respond and assured me she could help. She put me at ease at our first meeting and was very casual and just observed us nursing, gently offering suggestions. This is my 8th baby to breastfeed and I'm still learning different techniques. I had a wonderful experience with Heather! She helped me navigate some very challenging breastfeeding issues with care and compassion. I loved that she did home visits, especially as we figured things out with our first. Heather was so great with me as a very anxious first time mom! She helped me though the first few months of breast feeding by keeping me calm, reassuring me, and being there when I needed her. She is such an amazing resource and always eager to help, I loved all of the information and guides she provided me with! We are currently going strong at 6 months of EBF and without Heather helping us through our first couple of hurdles I don't know if we would have made it this far! - Dani

I had consulted with two lactation consultants during my hospital stay post birth. Neither had anywhere near the amount of knowledge and helpfulness that Heather had. I left my appointment with her feeling much more prepared and informed about myself, breastfeeding, and my baby. My only regret is that it took me 6 months to find her. Hana
