Consults include an assessment of latch, positioning, overall infant structure, infant oral assessment, weight check and breasts/chest to assess for areas of concern.
A 48 hr Care Plan will be developed to help with your current breastfeeding situation and include phone/text/email support.
A brief synopsis of the consult can be shared with primary care providers. If needed, a referral will be made to qualified care providers to assist with your care plan.
Follow Up
Some breastfeeding concerns require a follow up visit to ensure that all aspects of the care plan are being met. These consults are shorter in length and include most aspects of an initial consult.
